27 Superannuation 

27..1 Continuing and Fixed-term employees are entitled to superannuation entitlements including a 17% employer contribution.  

27.1 Continuing and Fixed-term employees are entitled to the minimum employer superannuation contribution as provided for in the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth),  including an employer superannuation contribution rate of 17% applying to an employee’s Ordinary Rate.   

27.2 Casual employees are entitled to the minimum employer superannuation contribution as provided for by the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth).  

27.3 The University’s nominated default fund is UniSuper. In the event that an employee does not choose an alternative complying fund to receive employer superannuation contributions, or the University is not otherwise required by law to make contributions to an alternative fund, the University will make contributions to UniSuper.  

27.4 Should changes to the Trust Deed and/or the clause be required because of external influences, the University will consult with employees and Unions.
