57.6Reproductive Health and Wellbeing Leave

a. For the purpose of this clause, reproductive health is defined as any condition relating to menstruation, perimenopause, menopause, poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis, In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), vasectomy, hysterectomy, medical pregnancy terminations, complications surrounding miscarriage, or any other conditions that cause excessive pain or excessive bleeding, and other forms of assisted reproductive health services. 

b. A Continuing or employee or Fixed-term Term employeeFull-Time or Part-Time Employee, experiencing reproductive health issues is entitled to up to five (5)5 working days additional paid reproductive health and wellbeing leave per annum (non-cumulative) for the purposes of treatment and management of symptoms. 

c. All personal/carer’s leave entitlements should be exhausted prior to the use of reproductive health and wellbeing leave.

d.c. The employee shallwill provide notice as soon as reasonably practicable of their request to take leave under this clause. 

d. Where an absence on reproductive health and wellbeing leave is greater than 1 day, tThe University may require the employee to provide evidence that would satisfy a reasonable person that the leave is for the purpose as set out in clause 57.6this clause. Such evidence may include a document (including a medical certificate issued by a doctor or other treating health professional) or a statutory declaration. 

e. Reproductive health and wellbeing leave:

(i) may be taken in periods of less than one day;

(ii) is non-cumulative;

(iii) will not accrue from year to year; and

(iv) will not be paid out on termination.
