Increase leave entitlement to 12 days per year.T his aligns with the monthly nature of many reproductive health conditions, external benchmarks and emerging national standards.
Remove the requirement to exhaust all other leave prior to being able to access reproductive leave. This ensures genuine accessibility for this type of leave and preserves other types of leave for their intended purpose.
Remove documentation requirements for reproductive leave.

Management Response
The bargaining team presented this claim in the bargaining meeting on 8/4/26. Management initially indicated they were open to some of the improvements outlined.
Management stated they would need to look at all leave related claims as a whole.
During the bargaining meeting on July 15, the bargaining team and management tabled their response and later provided their clause in writing, which included no increase to the quantum of leave.
During the bargaining meeting on August 5, the bargaining team and management engaged in principals based discussion on reproductive health leave. They were of the belief that applying to the Chief HR Officer for more leave when a worker exhausts their reproductive health leave is sufficient.
