FIRST WIN for your bargaining team!13 March 2026 The first meeting on 24 Feb was about how we are going to bargain, discussing principles around what we are trying to achieve, scheduling of meetings and time release for bargaining reps. Today we reached in principle agreement on a set of protocols and secured our first win for casuals. Management had agreed to fund one day of time release for each bargaining team member per meeting. But for our casual rep, Pierce, they proposed 2 hours. We made this a threshold issue for agreeing to the protocols and they conceded! See Pierce’s video HERE! To get this win we conceded on our claim for weekly, longer meetings but we accepted management’s proposed initial schedule of meetings to demonstrate good faith and ensure negotiations aren’t stalled. We will continue to press to get these negotiations wrapped up in six months.
