Joint NTEU-UQ Review of Academic Casual Staff ConversionsHAVE YOUR SAY This week kicked off the start of the joint NTEU-UQ management Review of Clause 16 of the current EBA – the mechanism for eligible academic casual staff to convert to ongoing Teaching Associate positions. As part of that Review, the NTEU is seeking input from: Casual academic staff who are thinking of applying for conversion; Casual academic staff who have applied, and been refused conversion; and Those who have been converted to Teaching Associate positions.
We want to hear about your perspectives and experiences! We know there have been problems with the implementation of this casual conversion scheme, so we need to hear from the people directly affected! To have your say, fill in the survey here Please note: all survey responses will be de-identified: in our analysis and report, if you provide any identifying information, we will remove it to protect your identity. At the end of the survey, there is an option to self-select to take part in a follow-up interview. If you wish to take part in an interview, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. These interviews will take place in the second half of March. Again, your information will not be shared with management, and any data from your interview will also be de-identified in the analysis and report. Know anyone who you think might be interested?
